Netroots Nation: Ask The Speaker W/AL GORE

Gina Cooper opened the event by letting us know that any organized disruption would result in the protesters' being escorted out and badges taken. As for the questioning of Speaker Pelosi, she said that impeachment and FISA questions were consolidated into 2 summary questions. Congressman Lloyd Doggett just introduced Speaker Pelosi. She got a standing O.

Update [2008-7-19 11:11:41 by Todd Beeton]:Al Gore just showed up to join Speaker Pelosi on the stage and is speaking now. Al Gore: "I feel right at home here."

wish I were there! (2.00 / 1)

One of these years when my kids are older I'm going to get to Netroots Nation.

John McCain: 100 years in Iraq "would be fine with me."

So do I... (none / 0)

I've been saying this for the last two years, but hopefully it'll come true this time around... I'm thinking I REALLY want to do NN next year. :-)

No way, no how, no McCain! :-)

Re: Netroots Nation: Ask The Speaker W/AL GORE (2.00 / 2)

gotta love it. Nancy is so scared of questions she will not allow them. Just solidifies this constituent of hers will never cast his vote for her ever again.

I dunno... (none / 0)

I'm a yellow-dog Democrat, so I doubt I could ever pledge to do what you're saying. HOWEVER, Nancy Pelosi has disappointed me so much that I don't think I'll ever be donating to her or to the DCCC any time soon. I'd rather spend my time & money helping Democrats who need my help and fully deserve it.

Gore (2.00 / 1)

I know all the 'reasons' why it happened, but I still have a hard time believe that George W. freakin Bush beat this guy.

Please, let's not let it happen again.

But he didn't... (none / 0)

Bush STOLE the election in 2000... With help from 5 Supreme Court justices. But still, I agree that we shouldn't let that happen again. Let's make sure Barack Obama has enough of a margin of victory that McBush can't enlist 5 or 6 Supremes to help steal it again.
